They're all established walks that tourists and locals frequently do, but Tony digs deeper to draw out the drama of the past. He'll roam through the streets and lane-ways; divulging the tales of crimes, recounting acts of bravery, notable characters and showdowns that have shaped the area.
There's nothing pedestrian about going for a walk with Tony Robinson. Add content advisory. User reviews 1 Review. Top review. It's not just about Australia Over the years, Robinson much like Terry Jones and Michael Palin from "Monty Python" reinvented himself--hosting nice historical documentaries which are a lot of fun.
Unlike many of his other documentaries, however, these are less historical and more just Robinson exploring various towns--not just in Australia but also in New Zealand. In each case, he gives some history of the town, walks the streets and meets interesting people and also does a bit about excavations which is what he often focuses in on in his other series.
The bottom line is that Robinson's nice, easy-going personality and the interesting information make this all very watchable--for adults and kids alike. Well worth your time.
