With the 'Expert' setting, I've created profiles however, when restarting I have reddish color cast. I've created a Gradient - Black to White, then 'posterized' to 20 levels, converted to Grayscale in Photoshop I've profiled 3 times and no luck so far.
Calibrating notebooks does not in most instances offer the controls ,options and settings that some LCD's and CRT's have. Almost all the software I've sceen have a presets or automatic mode or similar option in the setup prior to the measuring of the patches for use on monitors where users are not able to adjust the RGB channels, brightness or contrast manually.
My recently sold i1 Display 1 also made great profiles with ColorEyes. On the LG I leave the temperature set to the default setting of K,the way it came from the manufacturer, then select K in the Coloreyes setup. I did get some pink tinted profiles when I used the monitor profiling software included in Monaco Profiler 4.
Download the Coloreyes demo and see if it corrects your color cast. I doubt it's a problem with the Optix XR but maybe the Pro software with your notebook? I'm not sure what you mean by not for 2 displays on one card. In the monitor settings in Windows, you simply pick which monitor you are going to use for color management calibration.
Do the calibration and you have created a profile for that monitor. Now do the other monitor. It is true that windows does handle 2 monitor color management from 1 card, but when you pick the profile for the 2nd monitor in the card software, it stays with that monitor and windows handles the primary display. I am very frustrated I have read the instructions many times. There are contradictory instructions from the manual and their Monaco website For example, for LCDs:.
The manual explains adjusting Brightness-Contrast but the website says it's useless There is much detail paid to choosing the White point, however what about those of us who work in the studio in the 'almost' dark? When I make a Black-to-White gradient in Photoshop then 'posterize' it to 20 levels for a greyscale ramp I made a screen capture of this and pasted it to a new image, then check the RGB values of the various grey bands, they should be closely neutral, I mean isn't that the whole point of profiling?
To accurately represent the correct gamma and color? When I do this there are 'many' bands that are not neutral I've been through the Spyder 1 and 2 and now this Monaco XR Pro and I'm beginning to believe the manufacturers are not realistic or accurate in their claims.
There should be a more thorough hardware compatibility list of LCDs Laptop video cards in my case. I would not have bought this device if I'd known it was a definite 'maybe'. I've also downloaded Color Eyes software and profiled.
The results did not have a 'reddish' color cast There were less severe off-neutral results. I'm extra frustrated because I made it very clear to my distributor that I didn't care what it cost There are 'lots' of us who travel with laptops and have to perform adjustments outside our studio I've got my Toshiba Tecra S1 set at K.
In the Preferences I have Gamma compression checked better color at the edges of the gamut. I use the recommended 'L' method for the gamma and not the presets of 1. After the Profile is made and set as default I validate the profile. The one I'm using now has a Delta E average of 0. Profiles made with the exact same settings are closer in the Delta E numbers profile after profile with the Optix XR. Thanks for the settings EJS Adobe Photoshop CC. VirtualDJ Avast Free Security.
